We are a fishing industry company in Vågan municipality – more specifically Hopen, and are strategically located in the middle of Lofoten, close to good fishing grounds.
The plant is built in accordance with existing requirements for the food industry, and today stands out as a modern and flexible fishing industry company in Northern Norway. This provides an opportunity to increase the degree of processing of the products to a greater extent, rather than just being a pure raw material supplier. Hopen Fisk AS has strived to invest in up-to-date and efficient machinery in the plant, and to utilize this through efficient and rational production lines.
We have a strong focus on food safety, traceability and hygiene, in line with our customers’ increased demands for documentation of product quality.
Mackerel is an important food fish and is also known for its high content of omega-3 fatty acids.
